Banj Beach was built in 2012, one kilometer from Šibenik's center. Since 2013, events and concerts have taken place there during the day and at night. The beach offers beach volleyball and the Petrus bar, which also operates as a nightclub.

Since 2013 the beach has hosted daytime and evening events and concerts, including open-air cinema and live performances in summer. The bar Petrus doubles as a nightclub. The old town, St. Michael's Fortress and St. Anthony Channel form the backdrop to these gatherings.

The beach is conveniently located near the old town and easy to navigate from the city center. Swimming conditions are best in summer months, though the water is accessible most of the year for those willing to brave cooler temperatures.
