Church of Holy Trinity

The Church of Holy Trinity is a pre-Romanesque structure in Lovret featuring six radially arranged apses and solid stone masonry built according to early medieval construction methods. The structure preserves its original architectural elements that correspond to building techniques of that time.

Built between the 9th and 10th centuries during the period of the Frankish Kingdom and growing Christian influence in the region. This era shaped early Christian architecture with characteristic features of that time.

The church displays typical stone ornaments with interlaced patterns that characterize early medieval Croatian sacred architecture. These decorative elements remain visible today and reflect the craftsmanship of builders from that period.

The church is located in the Lovret district of Split and is accessible by road. Visitors should note that it serves as an active place of worship, so opening times and accessibility may vary.

The sixfold arrangement of apses in radial form is uncommon and distinguishes this building from other medieval churches in the region. This particular layout makes it a rare example of early medieval liturgical design.
