Lauba

Lauba is an art gallery housed in a former industrial building with high ceilings and contemporary interior spaces that display paintings, sculptures, installations, and multimedia works. The spacious layout allows multiple exhibition zones to function simultaneously for different artistic formats.

The building dates to 1910 and served industrial purposes before undergoing a major transformation into an art exhibition space in 2011. The conversion preserved the original structural character while introducing contemporary design elements to serve its new function.

The space showcases works by local and international artists in rotating exhibitions that reflect current artistic practice. Visitors find themselves surrounded by contemporary art that speaks to the creative life of the city and its wider connections.

The venue is located in the western part of the city along Prilaz baruna Filipovića. Plan to check what exhibitions are currently running, as the programming changes regularly throughout the year.

The building retains traces of its factory past, giving the spaces a raw physicality that typical white-walled galleries lack. This combination of industrial bones and contemporary art creates an unexpected setting where visitors feel the weight of history beneath new work.
