Novi Dvori of Zaprešić

Novi Dvori of Zaprešić is a manor estate with a castle, museum buildings, and a chapel spread across a large property north of the city. The grounds contain multiple structures including a circular threshing building and a family burial ground designed in the Gothic style.

The property originated in 1611 as a wooden structure and was later transformed and expanded by successive noble families. Over the centuries it underwent periods of development before eventually being placed under protection.

The place carries the name of the Jelačić family, who held power here for generations and left their mark on the landscape. The family burial ground displays Gothic architectural details and incorporates stone elements brought from other significant locations.

The grounds are laid out on easily navigable terrain with marked pathways and designated visitor areas. Upon arrival, allow time to explore the various buildings and extensive property at a comfortable pace.
