Oršić Castle in Gornja Bistra

The castle follows an L-shaped layout with arcades along the corridor in the backyard and rhythmically aligned windows on the front facade.

Count Krsto Oršić constructed the castle in 1756 on the site of a medieval fortress, and the family maintained residence until 1924.

The interior chapel displays illusionist murals and a baroque altar, representing the artistic preferences of eighteenth-century Croatian nobility.

Located at Bolnička ulica 21, the castle stands at 230 meters elevation and maintains recognition in the Register of Cultural Goods of Croatia.

After an earthquake in the nineteenth century, builders added a classicist porch with a tympanum and Doric columns to the structure.
