Oršić Castle in Gornja Stubica

Oršić Castle is a baroque structure in Gornja Stubica with an L-shaped layout where wings open into arcades along the corridor. Regular window arrangements mark the exterior walls throughout the residence.

The castle was built in 1756 by Count Krsto Oršić on the grounds of a former medieval fortress. The family occupied the residence until their departure in 1924.

The castle houses the Museum of the Peasants' Revolt, which documents the regional uprising of 1573 through exhibits and historical artifacts.

The castle is easily accessible and offers both self-guided visits and tours through the museum collection. Plan to spend time exploring the various rooms and exhibition areas throughout the residence.
