Kupari Beach

Kupari Beach stretches along the coast with a combination of pebble sections and concrete areas, offering direct access to the clear waters of the Adriatic Sea. The shoreline has a varied surface that accommodates different ways of entering the water.

This beach was part of an exclusive resort complex from the Yugoslav period, with several hotels serving high-ranking military officials. The structure of the place took shape during this era before conditions changed in the 1990s.

The beach draws visitors who spend time swimming and gathering along the shore during warmer months, shaping the social rhythm of the area. These activities reflect how locals and tourists use this coastal stretch as a gathering point throughout summer.

The beach is accessible via regular bus services from Dubrovnik, with the journey taking around 15 minutes from the city center. It helps to arrive early in the day to find good spots and quieter conditions.

The beach sits beneath five abandoned hotel buildings, including the Grand Hotel, which rise above the shoreline. These architectural remnants create an unusual and distinctive silhouette that defines the overall character of the location.
