Kapela sv. Jurja u Samoboru, Religious chapel in Samobor, Croatia.

Kapela sv. Jurja stands on Tepec Hill at an elevation of roughly 320 meters and features a simple barrel-vaulted interior. The small structure has minimal architectural details and sits in an exposed position overlooking the surrounding countryside.

The chapel first appears in written records in a 1555 letter from Judge Bartolomej Vukovic, establishing its presence in the region. Over the centuries it has remained a focal point of religious devotion in this area.

The chapel serves as a gathering place for pilgrims and worshippers who come to pray and celebrate together throughout the year. It holds meaning for the local community as a spiritual center where faith is actively practiced and shared.

The site is accessible year-round, though spring through fall offer the most comfortable conditions for the hike up the hill. Sturdy footwear is recommended since the path can be steep and uneven in places.

Historical records from 1622 and 1650 document instances when the chapel doors were discovered open in the morning despite being locked the previous night. These puzzling occurrences have become part of the local lore surrounding the site.
