Stadion Városi

Stadion Városi is a football stadium in Sopron featuring a natural grass pitch measuring 105 meters by 68 meters. The facility accommodates 4,500 permanent spectators and includes separate dressing rooms for teams, coaches, and referees with massage areas.

Originally known as the SOTEX field, the venue opened in 2003 as a sporting facility. The stadium achieved its record attendance when more than 5,800 spectators gathered for a match between FC Sopron and FTC.

The stadium serves as the home of FC Sopron and anchors the city's sports culture as a regular gathering place for supporters. Over time, the venue has become a social hub where fans experience and celebrate their passion for local football.

The venue is readily accessible and has recently received improvements to the eastern grandstand with expanded weather coverage. Visitors should arrive early on match days as the facility is designed primarily for regular football events.

During the summer months of 2011 and 2013, the stadium was temporarily transformed into a theatre venue, hosting over 20,000 spectators for artistic performances. This seasonal conversion demonstrated how the space adapted beyond its traditional sporting purpose.
