Saint Michael Church is a Gothic church building in Sopron featuring a tower reaching about 48 meters high and three naves separated by columns. The structure blends Romanesque and Gothic architectural elements together.

The building of this church stretched from the 13th to the 15th century and marked an important phase of religious growth in the medieval city. The different construction phases left their marks on the architecture that stands today.

The church is dedicated to Archangel Michael, and its name lives on in the Szentmihálydomb district around it. The winged altar was made by Ferenc Storno senior in neo-Gothic style, while the older high altarpiece comes from Bartholomeus Altomonte. A carved wooden Madonna statue forms part of the church treasure. The adjoining St Michael cemetery was already used in Roman times and later in the Middle Ages.

The church stands on Szentmihálydomb, outside the old inner town, along a busy road, so approach on foot from the Belváros. The tower's medieval lower section and 19th-century upper levels with the stone balcony are best seen from the west facade. The adjoining cemetery, used since Roman times, lies beside the building.

The tower's middle level has a pillared gallery, and a second gallery rings the top, where a watchman once stood guard until the Sopron Fire Tower's Renaissance upper section was built in the 15th century. The thick walls are pierced with loopholes, and a stone wall was raised around the cemetery.
