The Hungarian Railway Museum spans over 70,000 square meters and contains more than one hundred railway vehicles, equipment pieces, and historical artifacts.
The museum occupies the former Budapest North Depot, which served as a railway station and workshop for the Hungarian State Railways until its transformation in 2000.
The museum displays the Orient Express teak dining car and the Árpád railcar, representing milestones in Hungarian railway transportation from 1912 and 1934.
Visitors can access the museum from Tuesday to Sunday between 10:00 and 18:00, with a miniature railway and engine simulator available for educational experiences.
The collection includes a Soviet GAZ-13 Chaika luxury car, modified by Hungarian State Railways to travel on tracks after serving Prime Minister Jenő Fock.
