Illovszky Rudolf Stadion

Illovszky Rudolf Stadion is a football stadium in Budapest with a grass pitch measuring 105 by 68 meters and seating for approximately 5,000 spectators. The modern facility is equipped with floodlights to support matches at various times of day.

The stadium first opened in 1960 and underwent several renovations before being completely rebuilt starting in 2017. The newly reconstructed facility was inaugurated in 2019 and now stands in its current modern form.

The stadium is named after Rudolf Illovszky, a respected Hungarian football player and manager whose legacy has been honored here since 2002. It serves as the home ground for Vasas SC and plays a central role in the local sports community of Angyalföld.

The stadium is located at Fáy utca 58 in Angyalföld and is easily accessible by public transport. Visitors should plan to arrive early depending on the event type to secure parking or good viewing spots.

The venue made its international debut in July 2019 when Budapest Honvéd faced FK Žalgiris in a European competition qualifier. This appearance on the continental stage marked an important milestone shortly after the stadium's renovation.
