The Holy Spirit Parish Church on Kassai Square is a neo-Romanesque brick church built in 1936–37 to plans by Gyula Petrovácz. Its brick façade alternates red and light surfaces; the main portal's tympanum frames the Holy Trinity, flanked by round stair towers, with a large rose window above and a red-gold panel showing the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit. The interior has a basilical nave separated by colonnades from two aisles, a transept and a semicircular apse.

The parish was raised to independent rank in April 1919, and pastor Zsigmond Mihalovics began collecting funds for a new church after the congregation outgrew the 1856 Hermina chapel. The foundation stone was laid on 20 September 1936 on a plot donated by the city, in the presence of Cardinal Jusztinián Serédi; Gyula Petrovácz designed the building, consecrated on 14 November 1937.

The church is also known as the Kassai tér church, and the neighbourhood of Herminamező takes its name from Princess Hermina, daughter of Palatine Joseph, in whose memory the predecessor Hermina Chapel was consecrated in 1856. The parish hosts sacred and secular classical music concerts, with choirs, soloists such as Kertesi Ingrid, and organists such as Varnus Xavér.

The church is located in the Zugló district and is accessible by public transportation. Visitors should note that regular services take place and certain areas may not be accessible during private events or ceremonies.

The red-and-light brick facade carries a ten-square-metre red-and-gold panel above the rose window, inscribed with the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit. Inside, the 85 stained-glass windows by Imre Zsellér show Hungarian saints, the same seven gifts, the city's coat of arms and Christ. The baptismal font and high altar were carved from Ruschitza marble by Ferenc and Ágoston Fischer.
