St. Stephen's Basilica, Minor basilica and co-cathedral in District V, Budapest, Hungary.

The 96-meter-tall basilica features a grand dome, marble columns, intricate mosaics, and bronze reliefs depicting scenes from Saint Stephen's life.

The construction of this Neoclassical church started in 1851 under József Hild's direction and concluded in 1905 after Miklós Ybl took over the project.

Named after Hungary's first king, Stephen I, the basilica maintains the king's mummified right hand in a glass case within its treasury.

The basilica opens daily from 9:00 to 17:45, offering access to both the main hall and an observation deck reached by elevator or 364 steps.

The basilica stands at exactly 96 meters, matching the height of the Hungarian Parliament Building, symbolizing the balance between church and state.
