Palais Drechsler, Renaissance Revival palace in Budapest District VI, Hungary
The Drechsler Palace stands at 25 Andrássy Avenue with a three-story structure featuring four facades that reflect early French Renaissance architectural elements.
Architects Ödön Lechner and Gyula Pártos designed this building between 1883 and 1886, initially serving the Hungarian State Railways Pension Institute.
The structure housed the State Ballet Institute from 1949 to 2002, playing a central role in Hungarian dance education for multiple generations.
The palace stands directly opposite the State Opera House, with convenient access via the Opera station on metro line 1.
The building includes two grand stairways with a double-entrance design, decorated stained glass windows, and vaulted sections in the basement level.
