Greek Catholic Cathedral in Búza Square

The cathedral features pre-modern architecture with neo-gothic elements, incorporating both Eastern Orthodox influences and traditional Hungarian design characteristics into its structure.

Following its completion in 1912, the church building received cathedral status in 1924 and became the seat of the Eparchy of Miskolc.

The cathedral maintains Byzantine rite traditions while operating in communion with Rome, reflecting the distinct character of Hungarian Greek Catholicism.
