The Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences of Széchenyi István University has occupied the inner castle since 1818, when Prince Albert Casimir of Saxe-Teschen founded one of Europe's first agricultural colleges here. The gate from the Szentgyörgy and Bazin lords' rebuilding carries their star crest on its vault.

The site welcomes visitors throughout the year and offers guided tours explaining its military and architectural history. Keep in mind that the campus functions as an active university, so access may be limited during academic activities or special events.

The site originally hosted a Roman military camp for the 14th legion called Ad Flexum during the 2nd century, centuries before the medieval castle was built. This ancient Roman presence lies beneath the current structures, revealing how long this location held strategic importance.
