Mosonmagyaróvár, Thermal spa town in northwestern Hungary
Mosonmagyaróvár is a thermal spa town in northwestern Hungary situated at the confluence of the Mosoni-Danube and Lajta rivers. The town is located approximately 30 kilometers from Bratislava and 80 kilometers from Vienna.
The settlement formed from two separate towns, Moson and Magyaróvár, which united in 1939 along with Lucsony to create the modern municipality. This merger shaped the town's structure and development that continues today.
The Hansági Regional Museum in Cselley House on Fő Street displays crafts and Roman period artifacts in its lapidarium collection. The exhibits show how people lived and worked in this region during ancient times.
Many visitors come for the thermal baths and wellness facilities available year-round. The town is easily accessible by car or train and offers good amenities for both day visitors and overnight guests.
The FUTURA Science Centre operates from a 300-year-old granary building and offers interactive exhibitions focused on the four elements of nature. Visitors can explore natural science phenomena through hands-on displays.
