István Türr Bridge, Road-rail bridge in Baja, Hungary.

The István Türr Bridge stretches 582 meters across the Danube River, connecting the town of Baja with the nearby area of Pörböly.

The bridge was first constructed in 1908, destroyed during World War II in 1944, and rebuilt in 1950 to maintain essential transportation links.

The structure bears the name of István Türr, a Hungarian engineer from Baja who made substantial contributions to civil engineering and infrastructure.

Separate lanes accommodate different types of traffic, allowing trains to pass at 80 kilometers per hour while vehicles use dedicated roadways.

The salvaged steel from the original bridge destroyed in World War II provided 70 percent of the materials used to construct the Hernád Bridge.
