Beremend Crystal Cave, Protected cave in Beremend, Hungary.

The cave network extends 850 meters in length and consists of chambers, shafts, and passages formed through thermal water processes.

Limestone mining operations by Duna-Dráva Cement Ltd revealed the cave system in 1984, leading to its protection status in 1988.

Research teams have discovered Pleistocene-era remains, including complete saber-toothed tiger fossils and previously unknown species of wild sheep.

Access requires permission from Duna-Dráva National Park Administration, and visitors must wear clean clothing and use electric lighting only.

The cave maintains warm karst water pools at 19.5°C and contains mineral formations including white calcite pebbles and needle-like aragonite crystals.
