Darndale is a residential neighborhood in northern Dublin divided into five sections named Buttercup, Marigold, Primrose, Snowdrop, and Tulip. The area contains hundreds of homes alongside a village center offering shops, dining options, and one of Ireland's largest childcare facilities.
The area was established in 1975 when Dublin Corporation constructed homes to house families living in overcrowded city center tenements. This project formed part of a larger effort to improve residential conditions across the city.
