Aula Maxima, Maynooth, Academic venue at Maynooth University, Ireland
The McMahon Hall features a wooden floor auditorium with a seating capacity of 350 people and professional audio-visual equipment for presentations and performances.
The construction of Aula Maxima was completed in 1893 as a gift from Monsignor James McMahon to St Patrick's College during Bishop Robert Browne's presidency.
The Roscian Players, Maynooth University's Drama Society, performs regularly in this theater, which also hosts the Chamber Orchestra and local community productions.
Located in the South Campus of Maynooth University, the venue offers free parking facilities and stands within walking distance of the railway station.
A chair in the auditorium reportedly turns away from the stage when the resident ghost, said to be a former projectionist, disapproves of performances.
