Aula Maxima, Maynooth, Academic venue at Maynooth University, Ireland

Aula Maxima at Maynooth University is an indoor auditorium with wooden flooring and seating for around 350 people. The space comes equipped with professional sound and projection systems suitable for lectures, concerts, and theatrical performances.

Construction of this auditorium finished in 1893 as a gift from Monsignor James McMahon to St Patrick's College. The completion occurred during Bishop Robert Browne's leadership, marking an important addition to the college's facilities during that period.

The Roscian Players, Maynooth University's Drama Society, performs regularly in this theater, which also hosts the Chamber Orchestra and local community productions.

The venue sits on South Campus with free parking available nearby. It stands within walking distance of the railway station, making it convenient to reach by public transport.

According to local legend, a chair in the auditorium rotates on its own when a former projectionist's ghost disapproves of a performance. This tale adds an unusual character to the space and intrigues those who visit.
