Annesley Bridge, Road bridge in Fairview, Ireland
Annesley Bridge spans across the River Tolka with three sections, featuring carved channelled render piers and concrete superstructure with cast-iron railings.
The original structure, commissioned by Richard Annesley in 1792, became a public crossing point in 1797 before being rebuilt in 1926.
The bridge connects East Wall Road, North Strand Road, and Poplar Row, forming a central transportation point in north Dublin's community network.
The bridge allows pedestrians and vehicles to cross the River Tolka while connecting multiple major roads in the northern part of Dublin.
During the 1916 Rising, this bridge became the location of a significant battle, marking its place in Irish independence history.
