Frescati House, Georgian mansion in Blackrock, Dublin, Ireland

The building featured an austere exterior design that contrasted with intricate interior details, including ornate plasterwork and a private theater space.

Built in 1739 for John Hely Hutchinson, the Provost of Trinity College, the house was later owned by the FitzGerald family until its demolition in 1983.

The house served as a residence for Lord Edward FitzGerald, a leader of the United Irishmen, who spent his childhood years there.

The location of the former mansion is now occupied by the Frascati Shopping Centre, which was constructed following the building's demolition.

The FitzGerald family invested substantial funds in renovating the property during the 1760s, transforming it into a notable example of Georgian architecture.
