The Holy Trinity Church features smooth plate tracery, a low-slung battered porch, and pelican-dragon corbels within the chancel arch structure.
William Burges designed this church with a budget of 1,700 pounds, including 500 pounds from parishioners and 1,200 pounds from Ecclesiastical Commissioners.
The church stands near Crosshaven as a testament to the Church of Ireland presence, replacing the former St Matthew's Church built in 1778.
The foundation stone contains a sealed jar with period coins and documents, placed during the October 1866 ceremony by Bishop John Gregg.
The original design included a northern Italian campanile-style tower that received recognition in Irish Builder and Engineer but was never constructed.
