Camden Fort Meagher

Camden Fort Meagher is a coastal military fort in Crosshaven with a network of underground tunnels and chambers hidden beneath the surface. The interior layout is dominated by these subterranean structures, which form the core of the fortification's design.

The fort served as a military position for centuries before being transferred to Irish Defence Forces in 1938 under the Treaty Port arrangement. This handover represented a major step toward Irish control of its own coastal defenses.
