Scots Church, Cobh, Gothic Revival church in Cobh, Ireland
The Scots Church features a three-bay nave with a limestone spire rising from a three-stage tower, incorporating sandstone and terracotta design elements throughout the structure.
The church, designed by architect Henry Hill, opened its doors in 1854 to serve the Presbyterian community of Cobh, which was then known as Queenstown.
After ceasing religious services in 1965, the building transformed into the Cobh Museum in 1973, preserving maritime artifacts and local historical records.
The museum collection includes exhibits related to the RMS Lusitania disaster and maintains documentation about the millions who departed from Cobh's harbor.
The octagonal limestone spire of the former church stands as a testament to Gothic Revival architecture while housing records of Irish emigration patterns.
