Nir Am, Agricultural kibbutz in Southern District, Israel
The community stretches across 20,000 dunams of land near Sderot, positioned two kilometers from the Gaza Strip at 114 meters above sea level.
Founded in 1943 by immigrants from Bessarabia affiliated with the Gordonia youth movement, Nir Am served as headquarters for the Negev Brigade in 1948.
The Museum of Water and Security in the Negev presents exhibitions about regional water management and security developments through educational displays.
The Southup workspace in the former dining hall now provides modern facilities for entrepreneurs and technology companies in the Southern District.
The Assaf Siboni Scenic Lookout by the Nir Am Reservoir offers direct views toward the Jabalia region across the Gaza Strip border.
