Assaf Siboni lookout is a memorial and observation point west of the Nir Am reservoir, near Kibbutz Nir Am where Assaf Siboni grew up. A narrow gate between pillars opens onto a short path with a black marble memorial plaque, leading to an environmental sculpture of about twenty wind chimes made of wood, aluminium and steel cables, one for each year of his life. A wooden bench shelter overlooks the reservoir and the Gaza Strip, and the memorial area gives a 360-degree view.

The lookout was established by Assaf Siboni's family with help from the Jewish National Fund, at a spot overlooking the Nir Am reservoir near the kibbutz where he grew up. Assaf, a sergeant in the Nahal Brigade, was killed in the February 4, 1997 helicopter disaster in Lebanon. In 2019 a fire started by an incendiary balloon from Gaza damaged the site, and that August volunteers, family, friends and unit soldiers restored it.

The wind-bell sculpture was built in 2006 by artist Ofer Rubin of the Jerusalem Bells workshop, from wood, aluminium and steel cables. Its twenty bells match the years of Assaf Siboni's life, and each bears a memorial inscription. Assaf's mother said it took her three years to compose the texts on the two black marble plaques, one at the entrance gate and one beside the bells.

Access is via a narrow gate between pillars at the end of a short path from the entrance, where the first marble memorial plaque stands; a second plaque is beside the wind-bell sculpture. A wooden bench shelter overlooks the Nir Am reservoir and the Gaza Strip. The 360-degree platform sits exactly on the Israel–Gaza border line, so expect open, unshaded ground.

From this elevated position, visitors can look out across the Gaza Strip and see distant views of Jabalia and Gaza City stretching toward the western horizon. This far-reaching sightline offers a geographical perspective on a nearby region often hidden from view.
