Cymbalista Synagogue and Jewish Heritage Center, Modern synagogue at Tel Aviv University, Israel.
The Cymbalista Center features two identical towers reaching 13.5 meters high, connected by a rectangular lobby built with clean geometric lines.
Constructed between 1997 and 1998 with funding from Paulette and Norbert Cymbalista, the center received heritage site status in 2022.
The synagogue incorporates a verse from Psalms above the Torah Ark, which includes translucent onyx illumination to enhance the religious space.
The 800-square-meter facility contains event spaces, a library with Jewish texts, and exhibition areas for educational programs about Jewish traditions.
Mario Botta's architectural design merges geometric forms with natural light, creating spaces that connect modern structure with Jewish religious functions.
