Nesher Park, Natural park in Nesher, Israel
Nesher Park is a nature reserve on the northeastern slopes of Mount Carmel with dense Mediterranean forest of oak and pine trees. The grounds feature marked hiking trails, two suspension bridges crossing the Katia Stream, and several picnic areas.
The area was designated as a forest reserve during the British Mandate period and received systematic tree-planting programs starting in the 1950s. The planted forests now form a significant part of the park's woodland character today.
The park is named after the nearby town and serves as a gathering place for families and hikers from the surrounding area. Visitors regularly use the trails and picnic spots for outdoor outings together in nature.
The park is accessible on foot with trails of varying difficulty levels for different fitness levels. The best times to visit are early morning or late afternoon, particularly during cooler months.
The suspension bridges offer spectacular views over the Katia Valley and allow visitors to experience the stream valley from an unexpected height. These bridges make the park a special spot for photography and memorable moments.
