Israeli Opera, National opera company in Tel Aviv, Israel
The Israeli Opera performs in the Tel Aviv Performing Arts Center, presenting both classic works and contemporary productions throughout the annual season.
Established in 1985 following the closure of the Israel National Opera, the company emerged through a partnership between the Cameri Theatre and Israel Chamber Orchestra.
The opera house maintains the Meitar Opera Studio program, which prepares young Israeli singers for professional careers through intensive training and performance opportunities.
The Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion accompanies performances, with all productions featuring Hebrew and English language surtitles for wider accessibility.
The company organizes large-scale outdoor productions at locations such as Masada, incorporating natural landscapes into their theatrical presentations.
