Pensak's Passage

Pensak's Passage is a three-story commercial center on Herzl Street in Tel Aviv with a central courtyard surrounded by wings connected by balconies. The structure houses multiple retail spaces and offices arranged around this interior courtyard.

Pensak's Passage was built in 1924 by architect Yehuda Magidovich as the first dedicated commercial and office building during Tel Aviv's early urban expansion. This project represented a turning point in how the city organized its commercial spaces.

The neoclassical facade displays symmetrical design with a central entrance framed by shop windows on the ground level, reflecting design approaches of early Tel Aviv.

The passage is located on Herzl Street and accessible through a main gate, with shops spread across all three floors. The central courtyard serves as a natural gathering point and helps visitors navigate the different sections.

The building housed Tel Aviv's first elevator and was home to the region's first rooftop dining establishment. These innovations made it an early example of how buildings could offer modern amenities to city residents.
