Bahadurgarh, Industrial city in Jhajjar district, India
Bahadurgarh is an industrial city located in Jhajjar district near the National Capital Region of Delhi. The settlement spreads across a large area and contains numerous factories alongside residential neighborhoods organized into municipal wards.
The settlement was originally called Sharafabad until the Mughal Emperor Alamgir II granted the land to Baloch rulers Bahadur Khan and Tej Khan in 1754, renaming it after them. This change marked the beginning of a new phase in the area's development.
The local population speaks Haryanvi and Hindi in daily life, and people gather for traditional North Indian celebrations and festivals throughout the year. These occasions bring the community together and reflect the region's cultural identity.
The Delhi Metro Green Line connects the city to the capital, while National Highway 9 provides direct access to major cities across Haryana state. Good transport links make the place easily accessible and easy to navigate.
The city houses hundreds of factories specializing in ceramics, glass, chemicals, engineering, and electronics manufacturing. These industries form the economic backbone and shape the identity of the place.
