Sikandar Bagh, Royal park in Lucknow, India
The garden spans 150 acres with a central pavilion, perimeter walls constructed from Lakhauri bricks, and ornate gateways displaying Persian architectural elements.
In November 1857, British forces under Sir Colin Campbell attacked Indian rebels at Sikandar Bagh, resulting in a significant battle during the Indian Rebellion.
The garden's entrance features intricate wall paintings by court artist Kashiram, reflecting Lucknow's traditional chikankari embroidery patterns in architectural form.
The garden opens daily from sunrise to sunset, with the main entrance located on Ashok Marg in the Civil Lines area of Lucknow.
The structure includes a blend of Indian, Persian, European, and Chinese architectural elements, visible in its triangular arches, columns, and pagoda-style decorations.
