Indian Institute of Planning and Management, Private educational institute in New Delhi, India
The Indian Institute of Planning and Management is a private educational organization located in the national capital of India and occupies a site of approximately three acres. The campus holds library spaces, computer laboratories, and areas designed for group study.
The organization began its activities in 1973 and initially focused on programs related to national economic planning and entrepreneurship. The original network included 18 locations across India, which were later closed.
Students participated in the Global Opportunities and Threat Analysis program, which included a 21-day European trip to multinational firms and political organizations.
Since 2015, the institution has primarily worked on research projects and offers professional certificate courses. Direct instruction at external sites is no longer conducted.
In 2014, the High Court of Delhi ruled that the institution could no longer use the designations MBA and BBA. This court order led to a reorientation toward research and shorter certificate programs.
