Meenkulathi Temple stands in Pallassana, Palakkad district, Kerala, and is also called Pallassana Pazhayakavu. It is built in the Tamil Nadu style, with entrances on the north and west sides and the temple tank beside the western entrance. A teakwood flagstaff covered with copper stands on the grounds, and the sanctum holds a large idol of Meenakshi Amman, around which the seven Saptha Maathas are installed.

Meenkulathikkavu is held to be the oldest temple in Pallassena. Three Veerasaiva Mannadiar families from Chidambaram, driven out by drought, carried a stone they worshipped and settled here, prospering in the diamond trade. An elder's palm-leaf umbrella and valuables could not be lifted after his bath; an astrologer said Meenakshi had manifested beneath the umbrella, and the spot was called Kudamannu. The present temple and tank were built over the following four centuries.

The temple is also known as Pallassena Pazhayakavu, and its deity is Meenkulathi Bhagavathi, considered a form of Madurai Meenakshi. During the eight-day Maasi festival, Ottamthullal and Kathakali performances depict scenes from the Ramayana and Mahabharata. The deity's sword and lamp are carried in procession by descendants of the two youths who once guarded the elder's valuables and palm-leaf umbrella.

The temple stands in Pallassena, Palakkad district, with entrances on the north and west sides; the temple tank sits beside the western gateway. The garbhagriha is closed to circumambulation, so devotees move around the outer shrines of Ganapathi, Veerabhadra, Durga, Shiva, Bhairava, Brahma Rakshasas and Ayyappa instead.
