NTR Gardens, Public park near Hussain Sagar Lake, Hyderabad, India
The NTR Gardens extend over 36 acres with landscaped sections, water fountains, pathways, and numerous plant varieties from different regions of India.
The gardens, inaugurated in December 2001, stand as a memorial to Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and Indian cinema figure.
The entrance features traditional Nandi Bull sculptures, while the garden incorporates Indian medicinal plants and local food establishments serving regional specialties.
Visitors can access the gardens from 2:30 PM to 8:30 PM on weekdays, 12:30 PM to 8:30 PM on Sundays, with entry fees of 20 rupees for adults.
The Desert Garden section contains 150 plant varieties, including cacti and succulents, while the Machan Restaurant takes the form of a tree structure.
