Tribal Research Institute Museum, Tribal artifacts museum in Bhubaneswar, India
The Tribal Research Institute Museum contains over 4000 rare tribal art pieces and artifacts across five air-conditioned exhibition halls with interactive digital displays.
Founded in 1953, the museum expanded its collection in 1986 with the construction of five traditional tribal huts representing different indigenous communities of Odisha.
The museum presents exhibits from 62 tribal groups through sculptures, household items, musical instruments, textiles, and hunting equipment from Odisha communities.
The facility includes an auditorium seating 120 people, a tribal food court, souvenir shop, and offers free guided tours in multiple languages.
Seven full-scale replicas of tribal dwellings built by native craftsmen allow visitors to enter and examine authentic living spaces of different communities.
