Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, International cricket stadium in Jamtha, Nagpur, India.
The Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium is an international cricket ground in Jamtha near Nagpur in central India. The playing surface extends across open grass areas with straight boundaries of 240 feet (73 m) and square boundaries of roughly 255 feet (78 m).
The ground was officially inaugurated in 2008 when India faced Australia in a Test match, winning by 172 runs. Since then, it has hosted numerous major encounters between national and international teams.
The name Jamtha comes from the nearby village that has now become part of the larger stadium grounds. Spectators often gather early in the morning and bring homemade snacks, with many wearing traditional clothing when the Indian team plays.
The complex holds around 45,000 spectators with seating on multiple levels and covered sections for protection from sun and rain. Visitors will find media zones, changing rooms, and separate practice areas that meet international requirements.
This ground has hosted more Twenty20 internationals than any other in India, with twelve T20I matches since its opening. The arrangement of the stands allows spectators to have a clear view of the entire playing field from nearly every angle.
