Dharoi dam

Dharoi Dam is a concrete structure that spans 1,207 meters across the Sabarmati River and rises 45.87 meters high. The dam includes multiple spillway channels that control water flow and manage a large reservoir supplying the region.

Construction of the dam began in 1971 and was completed in 1978, marking a turning point in water management for North Gujarat. The project represented a major government investment to improve irrigation in this dry region.
