Kumarakottam Temple, Hindu temple in Kanchipuram district, India
The temple features two circumambulatory passages around the central shrine where Lord Murugan holds a kamandalu and Rudraksha prayer beads.
Constructed in its present form in 1915, the temple stands as one of the 21 major religious structures in the Kanchipuram region.
The temple hosts the Kandha Shashti festival each November, drawing numerous devotees who participate in traditional rituals and ceremonies.
Located on Raja Street, the temple remains open from 6 AM to 12 PM and 3 PM to 9 PM daily, with no entrance fee required.
The temple houses the Kandhapurana Arangetra Mantapam, an outdoor pavilion where priest Kacchiyappar first presented his 10,346-verse composition.
