Venjamakoodal, Hindu temple in Tamil Nadu, India
The temple features a five-tiered Rajagopuram tower and contains detailed stone carvings that display traditional religious scenes and deities throughout its structure.
Dating back over 1200 years, the temple holds inscriptions from Pandiya Naadu kings, documenting their patronage and contributions to its development and maintenance.
The temple serves as one of the 275 Paadal Petra Sthalams where poet-saint Sundarar composed devotional songs, preserving ancient Tamil literary traditions.
Located 16 kilometers southwest of Karur, visitors reach the temple by following the Aravankurichi road and then taking a 10-kilometer branch path to the site.
The main sanctum houses a five-foot-tall Lingam and contains depictions of seven Thevara temples from the Kongu Naadu region within its walls.
