Pariyur Kondathu Kaliamman, Hindu temple in Pariyur, India
The temple features a five-story Gopuram at the southern corner and contains an outer mandapam built with black marble around the inner sanctum.
The temple site dates back over 1500 years and originates from the time of King Vel Pari, who ruled the region known as Parapuri.
The temple houses multiple shrines dedicated to deities including Siddhi Vinayagar, Sri Pon Kaliamman, and a statue of Sri Maha Muniappan for childbirth blessings.
Visitors can attend three daily ceremonies at 5:00 am, 11:00 am, and 5:00 pm, with the temple operating from 6 am to 1 pm and 4 pm to 8 pm.
The temple features a stone ball carved inside a lion's mouth, considered the main vehicle of the goddess Kali who faces north with a fire crown.
