Thommankuthu

Thommankuthu is a multi-tiered waterfall in the Idukki district that descends through dense forest on the slopes of the Western Ghats. The water drops in several stages, forming a system of different pools and cascades along its course.

The waterfall takes its name from a man who died attempting to cross the river at this location in the past. That tragic event established the name and a lasting place in local memory.
