Alwar Fort, Hill fortress in Alwar, India.
The fortress spreads across 5 kilometers along the Aravalli Hills, reaching an elevation of 300 meters above the surrounding landscape.
Hassan Khan Mewati constructed the fortress in 1492, which remained under Mughal control from 1545 until 1755 before passing to Jat rulers.
The fortress features six grand gates named Chand Pol, Suraj Pol, Krishna Pol, Laxman Pol, Andheri Gate, and Jai Pol, each dedicated to different rulers.
Visitors can access the fortress through Jai Pol gate between 6 AM and 7 PM after registering their names with the security guard.
The fortress contains 15 major towers and 51 minor towers, strategically positioned for surveillance across the entire surrounding region.
