Erwadi dargah

The Erwadi dargah is a grave and religious sanctuary in Ramanathapuram district, featuring white marble construction with a distinctive green dome as its focal point. The central shrine displays intricate Islamic calligraphy and carved traditional patterns that reflect its spiritual importance.

The site was established in the 18th century by Qutb-us-Sultan Syed Ibrahim Badshah Shaheed, a figure with direct descent from Prophet Muhammad, who arrived from Medina. The creation of this shrine marked an important development in the spread of Islamic religious practice in South India.
