Bhadla solar park

Bhadla is a solar power facility located in Jodhpur district within the Thar Desert. The installation consists of rows of photovoltaic modules that extend across a very large area, interspersed with fencing and maintenance roads.

The first modules were installed starting in 2015, and work was completed in multiple phases through 2019. The project emerged as part of national initiatives to promote renewable energy sources.

The development of Bhadla Solar Park reflects India's commitment to sustainable energy practices and environmental responsibility through clean power generation methods.

Visitors can tour the facility only with advance registration and authorization, as it is industrial infrastructure. Because of extreme heat in summer, a visit during cooler months is advisable.

Robotic systems travel at night along the rows of modules, cleaning surfaces to remove sand deposits. These automated machines operate without human supervision and can cover large sections in a short time.
