Kul-e Farah, Archaeological site in Izeh Valley, Iran

The site contains six rock reliefs carved into stone surfaces along a seasonal creek bed in the Zagros Mountains at 800 meters elevation.

Discovered in 1836 by H.C. Rawlinson, the reliefs date from the 8th to 6th century BC and represent significant examples of Elamite period artwork.

The rock carvings display numerous scenes of animal sacrifices, processions, and musical performances that represent the social structure of Elamite society.

The archaeological site sits near the town of Izeh in Khuzestan province, with access routes available through local transportation networks.

Two large irregular stones mark the entrance to the valley, featuring detailed engravings of humans and animals in ceremonial positions.
