Garessio, Italian comune
Garessio is a small commune in the Province of Cuneo within Piedmont's mountain region. Narrow streets and stone buildings define its appearance, while the Tanaro river flows through it, adding to the setting.
The settlement was established around 1100 when a castle was built to protect residents. Its oldest church, Santa Maria Extra Moenia, dates to approximately 1000 and displays early medieval architecture.
